How to crop a PNG
- Open the PNG; transparent areas show as a checkerboard.
- Drag the crop, or press Trim edges to cut away empty margins automatically.
- Press Crop Picture and download a PNG with its transparency intact.
Keeping transparency

Trimming transparent margins
Exported logos and icons often arrive with a wide transparent border. Trim edges finds the first row and column on each side that contains anything visible and crops to it. It works the same on white or single-colour borders, with a tolerance slider for slightly noisy edges.

Will cropping reduce PNG quality?
No. PNG is lossless: every pixel you keep is identical to the original. Only the file size changes with what is left.
How do I crop a logo tight to its edges?
Press Trim edges. It strips transparent (or single-colour) margins down to the artwork; use Keep padding to leave a few pixels around it.
What happens to transparency if I save as JPG?
JPG cannot store transparency, so those areas become a solid colour — the panel tells you which before you download. Keep PNG or WebP to keep the transparency.
