Cropping screenshots cleanly

  2. Drag around the part you need. Press 1 to see it at 100% and line the edges up exactly.

Removing bars and borders

Retina and high-DPI screenshots are large — often 2880 pixels wide — and CropPicture shows them at true resolution when zoomed to 100%, so a one-pixel border is easy to exclude. For a stack of same-size screenshots, batch crop in Same pixels mode applies one exact rectangle to all of them.

Why does my screenshot look blurry in other tools?

Many tools resample or save as JPG, which smears text. Here the output is PNG by default and pixels are copied one for one, so text stays sharp.

How do I remove the empty border around a screenshot?

Press Trim edges to remove uniform borders and window margins. Status bars contain icons, so drag the crop past those.
